The New Zealand Minister of Health, Simeon Brown, visited the Auckland City Hospital Central Plant and Tunnel Project on Monday.
We’re delivering the project in joint venture with McConnell Dowell for Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, and the project is 94% complete. All the hard work constructing the major structures and installing key plant and equipment is nearly finished, and work is on schedule to be completed by December.
The team is now completing the last of the equipment installation and has commenced testing and commissioning. The new facilities complex systems include power, chilled and potable water, stormwater, emergency power, diesel storage and medical gases.
After the services have been installed, tested, and commissioned in the third quarter of the year we will slowly integrate each new service into the existing hospital networks.
