Transforming Auckland Airport’s terminal for the future
Built Environs successfully delivered Work Package 2 of the Western Terminal Integration Project at Auckland International Airport – a key element of the overall Terminal Integration programme.
The scope included extensive civil enabling works, demolition of existing structures, service diversions, and modifications to extend the existing terminal building.
Operating in a live airport environment, we worked in close collaboration with stakeholders to manage high-risk activities and minimise disruption to over 15,000 people and 100 businesses on site. Through detailed planning, robust safety protocols, and clear communication, the project was completed safely and efficiently.
As a vital component of Auckland Airport’s 30-year Terminal Development Plan, the project ensured seamless integration with ongoing operations and set a benchmark for future terminal works.
