Bundha Sports Centre

Built Environs delivered Victoria’s first vertically stacked multi-use sports centre at the Fitzroy Gasworks site in Melbourne.

In response to the demand for sports facilities in built-up inner-city areas, the sports centre has a unique, vertical design. The all-electric facility provides flexible court space for multiple sports, including basketball, netball, volleyball and futsal. Among its state-of-the-art features are five indoor courts stacked across three floors, a 24-hour gym, a café and multipurpose community spaces, and essential support amenities including change rooms, storage areas, and a tournament office.

Built Environs secured this project through a competitive tender process, collaborating with selected consultants to develop the design and pricing. During construction, we managed the design and full construction of the facility, all while operating in a live environment adjacent to Wurun Senior Campus.
