Improved facilities to deliver an enhanced experience for patients and staff

The Manukau Health Park Redevelopment project for Te Whatu Ora Counties Manukau, located in South Auckland, is essential for the growth of the area and to provide better access to high quality health care for the community.

This significant redevelopment project will bring four new operating theatres, 20 recovery beds, an extended renal dialysis service, a new radiology hub, and an integrated breast care service.

Through these new facilities, the community can benefit from nearly 150,000 additional appointments and 3,600 surgeries per year. Furthermore, up to 450 full-time employees will be employed across a variety of health services, improving the capacity, accessibility and quality of community care.

Te Whatu Ora’s biggest endeavour in the Counties Manukau District in many years has been made possible through a combined $216.4 million of funding from the New Zealand Government and Counties Manukau Health.

The project is scheduled to be completed by late 2025.
