Built Environs delivered the new 10-storey South Australia Police headquarters, creating a modern, secure workplace for more than 1,100 SAPOL employees.

A headquarters built for the job

The 18,000m² PCA A-Grade tower provides open-plan workplace accommodation alongside security features designed around SAPOL’s long-term operational requirements.

Designed to achieve a five-star Green Star rating, the building combines a concrete structure with a glass and aluminium façade.

Construction included one of Adelaide’s largest concrete footing pours in decades, with approximately 1,500m³ of concrete placed in just nine hours.

Keeping critical services moving

Working alongside the South Australian Metropolitan Fire Service headquarters meant emergency vehicle access through the site had to be maintained throughout construction.

Our team also coordinated closely with SAPOL, the consultant team and the client’s fit-out contractor to integrate the works and maintain programme.

The building was handed over one month ahead of schedule, ready for more than 1,100 SAPOL employees to move in.
